What is this ?

Figure there is a wealth of knowledge here so here goes:D
Picked this up today and would like to know history or where this was made.

It measures aprox 1 inch by 11/16 inch or 25mm by 16mm
Do not have a scale to weigh it yet:banghead:

I'm going to take a stab in the dark here and say it's a generic brand and was minted some time in 1976.
